Ponder Homes for Sale

Ponder is a quiet rural suburban town just north of Fort Worth and just west of Denton hidden deep within Denton County. With a population of just over 500 people, Ponder is an often over looked spot on the Texas map, and its residents like that fact just fine. First called Gerald (when the town was established in 1887), it was soon discovered that another Texas town had the same name and thus Ponder became the permanent moniker in 1889. The city is home to the Ponder State Bank, a historical site that was once robbed by Bonnie and Clyde, and was actually used for shooting in the 1966 movie "Bonnie and Clyde," starring Faye Dunaway and Warren Beatty. The city is a warm, family oriented community that is the definition of a small Texas town. Students living in Ponder attend schools in the Ponder Independent School District.
