Crandall is home to near 3,000 residents and offers a laid back, small town atmosphere. Hidden at the intersection of U.S. Highway 175 and Farm to Market (FM) roads 148 and 3039, nine miles west of Kaufman in west central Kaufman County, the city of Crandall is often overlooked on most maps .... something that the residents of this small, family style, suburban community don't really seem to mind.

Homes for Sale in Crandall and Texas Railroads
The catalyst for the town's development back in 1880 was the decision of the Texas Trunk Line Railway to lay tracks through the area. Rev. C. F. Crandall gave the railroad a right-of-way through his land, and the community that quickly developed around the tracks was named in his honor. Crandall soon became a shipping point for area farmers to connect with the railroad.
