Anna is a small town with a big heart. In May 2006 tragedy struck neighboring town Westminster when a tornado ripped through the city, sparing Anna but devastating their neighbor. The citizens of Anna along side the Red Cross opened the local high school as a shelter to the "walking wounded" and anyone else needing lodging, due to damage in the area.
