Homes for Sale in Allen Enjoy Texas History

The historical home to what was the first train robbery in Texas (luckily for its current residents that was back in 1870), the city of Allen is comfortably nestled between Plano and McKinney on Central Expressway just north of Dallas. Allen has had a long standing relationship with the railways in Texas and is home to the first railway dam used to facilitate the railroads (which still stands today in the city's Exchange Park).

During the 1990s, children's television shows Barney and Friends and Wishbone were filmed in Allen. The city is home to The Allen Eagle Escadrille (Allen High School's marching band) who's 650 members performed at the both the 2006 Tournament of Roses Parade, and the 2006 Bandfest in Pasadena, California.
